As most frequent visitors to the SPS website have realized by now, our site receives almost daily updates. Usually, these updates are limited to new products, pricing changes, newsletter posts, customer photos and such. However, there are fairly significant changes planned for the SPS site during the course of 2001 including a move to a new server. Product News
The long–awaited clear corner lamps are finally available for second generation coupes and third generation sedans and wagons. These attractive clear corner lamps replace the ugly orange units within the stock front end of all 97-00 coupes and 2000+ SL and SW sedans and wagons. The AOCC0202 lamps are available now for $49.00 per set.
The latest SPS strut tower brace features strong machined aluminum sections (2 end brackets and 3 cross-bar sections) that provide exceptional strength and a unique neo-industrial look. K&N now offers their performance drop-in replacement air filter for Saturn’s new midsize LS and LW models. This filter is very similar to the stock element and fits into the factory air box. However, instead of a restrictive paper element, the K&N unit uses a free flowing cotton element that greatly improves the breathing of the Saturn engine and never needs replaced (simply clean it when needed.) SPS Racing
With winter weather currently planted firmly in the central division states, the only racing being done by the scR team last month was Grand Tourismo on Patrick Walker’s Sony Playstation. However, mechanical preparation is under way now for the ITA Saturns of James Walker and Mark Rushbrook. It appears that work is well ahead of schedule to make the May 6 season opener.
The tentative 2001 scR schedule is as follows:

July 1 Mid-Ohio Double Regional
July 29 Mid-Ohio Double Regional

Meanwhile, Mike Kramer and the Thundersport Racing Team have already begun their season in the Southeast Division. Their season started with an exciting race at Sebring on January 6-7. Despite experiencing some serious brake fade late in the race (Sebring is notorious for being tough on brakes,) Mike still enjoyed a third place finish in SSC (showroom stock C,) beating long-time rival Ken Payson - who last year took second place at the Runoffs in his Nissan 200SX.
Catalogues Have Been Mailed
Our new 48-page 2000-2001 catalogues were mailed to over 7400 SPS customers on December 15th. This list of customers included anyone that had ever purchased parts or previous catalogues from SPS as of November 30, 2000. It appears that some of these catalogues may have been held by local post offices because of holiday mailing volumes, however, most have since been released and delivered. If you had purchased from SPS prior to November 30, 2000 and have still not received your copy by January 15, 2001, please Contact Us.
