SPS Credit Card Policies
Virtually everyone agrees that credit cards make buying stuff easy and convenient – and most of the time, this is a good thing. That’s why SPS accepts Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. Unfortunately, however, credit card fraud has become common in the modern world - and the mail order parts industry is one of the most heavily affected. So in order to protect our customers and our business, SPS takes extra precaution when processing orders that are paid via credit card.
One of the most important of these extra precautions is the verification of shipping addresses. What this means is that prior to shipping every order that has been paid with a credit card, we first contact the bank or financial institution that issued the card to confirm that they recognize the address to which we are asked to ship the order. If they confirm that the address is legitimate, then the order is released for shipment. If not, we must hold the shipment until we are able to get the card issuer’s approval.
Often, we find that we end up shipping to the billing address of the credit card. But this is not always the case, as most card issuers will allow their card holders to add alternate addresses to their account. These alternate addresses are often entered as ‘alternate shipping addresses’ or as ‘memo notes’ within the card issuer’s records. This option makes it safe and convenient for our customers to ship orders to work, school, or the homes of relatives.
So to avoid delays or complications with your orders, we suggest that you first take the time to contact your card-issuing bank or financial institution and confirm that your preferred shipping address is listed within your account records.

Our polyurethane bushing sets replace the soft rubber control arm, lateral link, trailing arm, and sway bar bushings with carefully tuned polyurethane versions. The resulting reduction in bushing compliance improves handling by reducing unfavorable dynamic alignment variance, reducing undamped torsional windup, and reducing the lag time in driver feedback. Choose the entire master set if you wish to upgrade front control arms, rear lateral links and trailing arms, and front and rear sway bar bushings. This is part number ES18101 for $119.00 per set. Or choose the rear sway bar bushing set alone for an easy upgrade to accompany one of our larger diameter rear sway bars. Part number ES5116 accommodates the 16.0mm bars while the ES5117 accommodates the 17.5mm bar. The ES5116 and ES5117 are priced at $13.95 per set. {Notes: 1) The master set includes rear sway bar bushings with 15.0mm bore. Larger bore sizes can be substituted upon request. 2) Clamp collars should be used with all poly rear sway bar bushings to prevent lateral motion of the bar. 3) Bushings for control arms, trailing links, and lateral links must be pressed into position.}
For many customers, installing the complete bushing package is a very difficult job – since most of the bushings must be pressed in and out using a hydraulic press. This can be frustrating and time-consuming. And in the case of some older cars, the control arms, lateral links, and trailing links may already be damaged! So for those of you who wish to avoid the hassles and use this opportunity to replace your suspension members with brand new components, we offer our complete kit. This kit includes brand new front lower control arms (left and right,) brand new trailing links (left and right,) brand new forward lateral links (left and right,) brand new rearward lateral links (left and right,) the ES18101 polyurethane bushing set, and a complete set of brand new fasteners and hardware. And all of the poly bushings have already been lubricated and pressed into place, making this a true ‘bolt-on’ bushing kit. {Notes: 1) The ES18101 bushing kit includes 15.0mm rear stabar bushings. Be sure to specify oversized bushings if using 16.0mm or 17.5mm rear stabar. 2) This kit does NOT include clamp collars. SPS recommends using the aluminum clamp collars with all polyurethane rear stabar bushings.} This complete kit is part number R38101S for $949.00.
One of the advantages of polyurethane bushings is that they allow the suspension components to move freely inside the bushing, thus eliminating the torsional windup effect of the rubber bushings that clamp tightly against the suspension components. However, in the case of the rear anti-sway bar, the clamping effect from the bushing is what prevents the bar from walking laterally from side to side. So a potentially negative side effect of using the poly bushings at the rear anti-sway bar is the tendency for the bar to move laterally – which could allow it to make contact with brake or wheel components. To prevent this, we suggest using our aluminum anti-sway bar clamp collars. These collars simply attach to the anti-sway bar - one on the outside of each bushing bracket - and prevent lateral motion of the bar. These collars are made of aluminum, so they will never rust. Two clamps are needed per car for proper application. Choose the MSP16A for use with the 15.0mm rear bar for $7.27 each. Choose the MSP17A for use with the 16.0mm rear bar for $7.72 each. Or choose the MSP18A for use with the 17.5mm rear bar for $7.98 each.
Accel ignition coils combine a specialized silicone magnetic steel core with revised coil windings and a 75:1 turns ratio to create a bolt-on ignition coil that produces greater voltage (up to 45,000 volts) and increased dwell time (21% peak increase over stock.) They also feature brass contacts for better energy transfer and greater resistance to corrosion (a common problem on stock coils with aluminum contacts.) Bright yellow exterior has high dielectric strength and looks great! For all 91-02 S-series. Each vehicle requires two coil units. Each coil is available now as part number ACC40017 for $49.00 each.

SPS Racing
Now that the 2002 season is officially over, the SPS Racing teams have a break from the week-to-week prep and maintenance that is required during the season. So what have they been working on to satisfy their workaholism? How about an entirely brand new website!

And, while a lot of new information has been added, all of the previous newsletters, tech articles, and FAQ forums have remained. It’s the best of both worlds, so to speak.
