Please give us as much feedback as possible about the new SPS site. You can post feedback here as a reply to this post, or feel free to email me directly.

As of 03-07-08, these are the known issues with the site:
1. Ohio sales tax by county function is still not ready. See below.
2. User registration form is still not complete. (I need to collect county data from ohio residents, but my extra fields are not saving to the user_info table...)
3. 404 error when submitting high scores from arcade games.->This has been fixed as of 03-08-08.
4. Some store category links still need photo images. ->This has been completed as of 03-14-08.
5. Some parent/child relationships for products still need to be created (so that each size or color does not have a separate listing). ->This has been completed as of 03-14-08.

Please let me know what else you find. In particular, I have done very little testing in Internet Explorer. So let me know if something looks wacky. And of course, please be on the lookout for broken links and spelling errors.

Also, I have done very little testing in the store's checkout process. For now, I have purchase orders enabled as a payment method for all shopper groups.(This has been restricted to only the wholesale shopper group as of 04-09-08.) So if you want to test the store, but don't really want to buy something, just select 'purchase order' as your payment method and I will cancel the order in the backend. After I get a few more store issues fixed, then I will create a generous coupon code that beta testers can use to make real purchases.See below.

Thanks!

I just discovered that some of the product photos in the store may not enlarge properly. This happens if they are CMYK color format instead of RGB color format.

So if you find any product photos that appear in the catalog but will not enlarge when clicked, please let me know and I will reformat the color profile.

Thanks!

As of 03-15-08, we are having some problems with the photo album. New galleries created from the frontend are listing in an ascending order whereas galleries added from the backend are listed in a descending order.

I would prefer that new galleries always post to the top of the list, but I have not figured out how to change this yet.

FIXED (I think) as of 04-13-08!

OK, here are some updates on known issues as of 04-10-08:

1. I don't have time right now to finish the tax by county function. So in the meantime, I have implemented a partial solution. Ohio sales tax is now being calculated as a function of zip code instead of county name. This seems to be working pretty well, except technically some zip codes span more than one county. So we are not 100% in compliance, but we are close. When I can find time, I will get back to working on this.

2. Additional user shipping addresses are not saving to the database. This was working not long ago. I think that I know when I broke it, so I am tracking that down now.- Fixed as of 04-11-08.

3. Coupon discounts are being applied after tax. So as a result, if you are an Ohio shopper, your coupon is working more like a gift certificate than a coupon. Not a huge priority at the moment. - Fixed as of 04-12-08.

4. I have enabled a coupon code: beta_test. If you enter this during checkout, you will get 20% off. By the way, this coupon code is open to anybody. I'm surprised that nobody has used this yet as of 04-24-08...

Please let me know if I am missing anything else. Thanks!

As of 04-12-08, I am working on fixing some display issues in some content items when viewed with IE6 (Project Cars/ION and maybe others too).- Fixed as of 04-14-08.

Also working on changing the default ordering of the forums. I will change to oldest posts first. - FIXED (I think) as of 04-13-08.

I am also working on creating search-engine-friendly URLs.

As of 04-14-08, when search engine friendly URLs are enabled in the store, first-time visitors will get a false cookie error message if using Safari or IE browsers.

If I turn off sefurls, the problem goes away. But I hope to maintain this feature, so I am working on a fix.

You can ignore the message and continue shopping without consequence.

As of 04-17-08, I have yet to find a solution for this, I am tired of screwing around with it, and I am leery of my sef component because it has caused a few other errors. So for now, I have turned off sefurls in the store. So this error is 'fixed'.
